Council Representatives
Given the extraordinary challenges currently facing higher education, Michigan public employees and their unions, the Wayne State University AAUP-AFT Local 6075 has been building a campus-wide network of concerned faculty and academic staff to effectively address our concerns both before the WSU administration and in Lansing.
This network of Council Representatives (Council Reps) meet formally once per month for one hour to discuss the pertinent issues facing our members as a whole. The Council Reps meet the 1st Tuesday of the month between 12:30 -1:30 pm in the Maccabees Building, Room 3104.7, 5057 Woodard, 3rd Floor (down the hall from the Union Office). This is also an opportunity to discuss issues concerning our members’ departments, units, or divisions. If your department is not currently represented, please contact Kristen Chinery, Council Rep Chair, to talk more about getting involved.
