02/06/20 Surveys

Dear Colleagues:

Your Union is currently conducting two surveys. One is a job satisfaction (morale) survey and one is a bargaining survey. The job satisfaction survey is being conducted independently by the American Arbitration Association (AAA), and it is being sent to the entire bargaining unit membership, both Union members and non-Union members will be polled. The AAA is a professional organization that has long experience with administering such surveys and overseeing organizational elections. By contracting with the AAA to administer the survey, we are assured that the process will be objective and we can rely on the results. The AAA will provide the initial report on the results of the survey. The preliminary results should be available in March.

The bargaining survey will follow the job satisfaction survey and will be sent to Union members only. The purpose of the bargaining survey is to inform the Union leadership and the bargaining team of the concerns and priorities of the membership in relation to the upcoming collective bargaining negotiations. If non-members wish to participate, we are happy to provide surveys to those who join the Union. You can join by filling out the form attached to this message, and sending it to the Union office by mail, fax or email.

Please take the time to fill out each of the surveys. NO ONE WILL BE PERSONALLY IDENTIFIED AS A RESULT OF EITHER OF THESE SURVEYS. They will provide information that will be important for your Union to be better informed in order to represent you effectively.

In solidarity,
